Summary

  • Silicon Valley startup Diversion, dubbed the “GitHub for game development” has raised 4.5m of that raised in its latest seed+ round led by Konvoy.
  • Diversion is a version control platform designed with creative and especially large-scale game devs in mind, aiming to help seamless collaboration whilst sharing large files and scaling workflows.
  • With 15,000 developers on the platform currently, and growth of 20% per month, the funding will help the company expand its team, support larger studios, grow its presence in key markets and develop its product.
  • Version control has been a longstanding issue for game developers, with existing solutions inadequate for their needs, said Diversion CEO Sasha Medvedovsky, who hopes the platform can fill this gap.
