Summary
Mountain View’s Voltron Data has announced a strategic partnership with Accenture to help enterprises overcome the challenge of processing vast volumes of data quickly enough to satisfy AI demands.
The company’s GPU-accelerated analytics engine, Theseus, enables organisations to process petabyte-scale datasets with graphics processing units rather than traditional computer processors.
Early adoption of Theseus has focused on data-intensive industries such as financial services for uses including fraud detection, risk modelling and regulatory compliance.
One large retailer reduced its server count from 1,400 CPU machines to just 14 GPU servers after implementing Theseus, according to Voltron Data’s CTO and founder, Rodrigo Aramburu.
The company plans to release a version that allows potential customers to experiment with GPU-accelerated queries on terabyte-scale datasets.
