Summary
Together AI has announced a $305m series B round of funding to expand its open-source large language model deployments.
The funding round, led by General Catalyst and co-led by Prosperity7, will also be used to improve the company’s reasoning clusters and agentic AI capabilities.
Since it launched in 2023, Together AI’s platform has attracted more than 450,000 registered developers, and its business has grown 6x year-on-year.
Vipul Prakash, CEO of Together AI, said the company was now able to serve models across all modalities, including language, reasoning, images, audio and video.
Together AI’s reasoning clusters provide dedicated capacity ranging from 128 to 2,000 chips to run models for the best possible performance.
The company is also speeding up its agentic AI workflows through the acquisition of CodeSandbox, a company that provides lightweight, fast-booting virtual machines with secure code execution.
