Write Warz developers on how creative writing makes a hilarious party game

Summary
Party gaming start-up Boltz Entertainment’s debut title, Write Warz, which turns storytelling into a humorous combat scenario for players, is set to launch on Steam in early access on 6 March.
The game will offer two themes at launch - horror and pirate - with participants contributing sentences to a shared story based on the chosen theme.
Winner’s sentences are added to the evolving story, with other players’ contributions being struck out.
Avatars bestow buffs or debuffs on players, with other mechanics including extra objectives and in-round attacks to limit opponents’ word count or time.
The game can be played by up to six people and also has matchmaking for those wanting to play with strangers, as well as AI bots that have been trained on language models and can fill in for missing players.
