Summary
Warner Bros Games has been closing studios as part of a major restructure, with Monolith Productions amongst those closing - the studio was working on Wonder Woman, but this title has now been cancelled.
The game, which was showcased at the Game Awards in 2021, was rumoured to be suffering issues in development, and no updates had been forthcoming.
Now the studio has closed, it is unlikely the game will ever be seen, and it marks the end for the ‘Nemesis’ game system, as Warner Bros has the patent to this technology and with the studio closed, no other developer will be able to use it until 2035.
It is also unlikely that any Monolith projects in development will be taken on by other studios.
