Dorian elevates UGC games with interactive video integration
1 min read
Summary
Video game creation platform Dorian has added interactive video integration to its user-generated content (UGC) games, enabling creators to seamlessly add video to their games without coding.
Aiming to democratise game development by removing the need for large budgets and technical expertise, Dorian offers a no-code engine and Baldur’s Gate 3-style relationship system for creating games.
Successful titles include Slashfic, a horror game that generated $1.2m in five months with a barely there upfront budget, and Heartsworn, by narrative designer Noe Sawaya, who used the platform to break into the industry.
Most of Dorian’s creators are women, and the platform is looking to become a hub for double-A games in 2025, caters to an engaged community and provides access to LiveOps and dynamic monetisation.
The company, which raised $19.3m to date and has 20 employees, is hosting a GDC side event on 18 March on how to create million-dollar games on UGC platforms.
