Summary
An open-source collective named AGNTCY aims to create an industry-wide agent interoperability language to help AI agents from various organisations communicate seamlessly.
The group includes several prominent industry names such as Cisco, Glean, LangChain, LlamaIndex and Galileo, and is striving to create an “internet of agents” to accelerate all human work on a global scale.
One of the collective’s core members, LangChain, has already developed the Agent Protocol, launched in November 2021, which allows agents built on any framework to communicate, while Anthropic recently announced the Model Context Protocol to standardise data integration for AI tools and models.
AGNTCY’s interoperability protocol is in development and the group is seeking input from other industry players.
