Auto Legends adds $1M to its funding round in Coinbase Ventures deal

Social drag racing game Auto Legends, from Autoverse Studios, has received $1 min s t r a t e g i c in v es t m e n t f ro m C o inba se V e n t u res t o a dd t o i t se x i s t in g$ 8m funding round.
The game aims to capture the real journey of car enthusiasts, providing multiple avenues such as racing, collecting, team ownership and dealing to allow players to become automotive legends.
It also announced its inaugural non-fungible token (NFT) mint, offering exclusive rewards for early supporters of the game.
The team behind Auto Legends consists of veterans from top gaming studios, including Glu Mobile, Riot Games and Xbox, who have a history of creating hit racing franchises with over 65m players.
The additional funding translates to $9m for the fundraising round and will be used to deliver an immersive racing experience that captures the passion of car culture and confidence in bridging the gap between traditional racing games and blockchain-powered ownership.
