Video game fans convention, BlizzCon, owned by Microsoft-owned Activision Blizzard, hasn’t held a fan festival in 2025, but it will return in September 2026 to the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California, reports VentureBeat.
While this year is a hiatus year, in the past nearly 20 years since it began, the event has led to the company innovating and creating unforgettable moments and memories, said the president of Blizzard Johanna Faries, who discussed the announcement with talk show host Conan O’Brien at the SXSW show in Austin, Texas.
BlizzCon includes ceremonies, competitions, panels and gameplay and the company wants to make it an “unforgettable experience” for fans.
There likely won’t be many game announcements in 2025, but the company needs time to prepare for the 2026 event.
