Summary
Google has enhanced its Gemini chatbot by expanding the reach of its Deep Reasoning technology, called Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental, making it available to more chatbot features.
This includes a new personalisation feature that will tailor responses to individual users by referencing previous conversations and searches, with the chatbot accessing information from users’ connected Google apps including Search and Photos, with their permission.
The chatbot can also tap into other Google services such as Calendar, Notes and Tasks, to offer more detailed and helpful responses to complex requests, and will soon be able to analyse photos stored in Google Photos.
Google hopes the enhancements will continue to make Gemini a more “personal, connected and helpful” chatbot.
Integration and personalisation have been an emerging trend in AI chatbots over the past year.
