Summary
Artificial intelligence (AI) company Nvidia has unveiled a range of technologies to help develop humanoid robots, including the Nvidia Isaac GR00T N1, a foundation model that is customizable and can be used across a wide variety of applications such as packaging and inspection.
Also included in the launch is the Nvidia Isaac GR00T Blueprint, a simulation framework for the generation of synthetic data, and Newton, an open-source physics engine developed in collaboration with Google DeepMind and Disney Research.
The latter utilizes Nvidia Warp, a framework for optimizing robot learning, and will be optimized for use with Disney’s existing physics engine.
The technologies are set to be used by Boston Dynamics, among others, to develop a new generation of robots that are more agile and adaptable than ever before.
