Summary
Discord has announced plans to expand its Video Quests ad format to mobile devices, marking the company’s first step into the mobile advertising space.
The mobile quests will launch in June 2025 and allow advertisers to showcase content such as trailers and premium content to the Discord community.
The introduction of mobile quests will broaden Discord’s advertiser audience to include non-gaming brands.
CEO of Discord, Jason Citron, explained that the company wanted to tap into its core audience and help developers, and so the company launched Quests last year.
The successful Quests format includes Video Quests, which focuses on driving awareness and is ideal for trailers and DLC drops, and Play Quests, which are aimed at driving gameplay.
Advertisers that have successfully used Quests include Max, Nexon Games, and MiHoYo.
