Summary
Gaming giant Nintendo is launching Virtual Game Cards for its Nintendo Switch console in April, allowing players to share digital games in a physical, flexible format.
The virtual game cards will be loaded on a dedicated management screen and can be loaded or ejected virtually.
Once the game cards are launched, users will be able to load a game onto one system, eject it, and then load it onto a second system to play seamlessly.
Games can be lent out to other users via family network for a period of two weeks, after which they will automatically return to the lender.
The launch coincides with the imminent unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2, which is set to be showcased on April 2.
