Credit bureau Experian has taken an alternative path to many of its competitors in the adoption of AI, having practised with the technology over the past two decades.
Since the emergence of generative AI in 2022, Experian has capitalised on its technological advancements, deploying them at scale with its existing AI frameworks.
Experian’s Shri Santhanam explained the company’s differing approach, stating: “AI has been part of the fabric at Experian way beyond when it was cool to be in AI”.
Experian’s strategy focused on product enhancement, productivity optimisation, platform development and education and empowerment as its four key areas.
Experian’s approach differs to competitors by focusing on agent architectures, creating adaptable architecture, integrating governance early and emphasising the need to have a measurable business impact.
