SAG-AFTRA union creates deal for students and game jam devs to work with acting talent

Summary
Hollywood actors’ union SAG-AFTRA has reached agreements to allow both students and game jam participants to access union performers, despite its ongoing video game strike.
The union created two waiver agreements, one for game students and another for game jam events, allowing developers at all stages of their careers to work with union performers.
Under the agreements, participants are able to work with SAG-AFTRA performers, however, fees are deferred provided the game does not generate revenue.
The union said it hopes the agreements will allow it to support game developers at all levels and help them learn more about producing games under union contracts.
