  • South Korean gaming firm HYBE IM has secured $21m in a round of investment to expand its publishing and intellectual property (IP) gaming services.
  • South Korean firms IM Investment, Shinhan Venture Investment and Daesung Private Equity contributed to the funding, which will support the launches of upcoming large-scale multiplayer role-playing games Architect: Land of Exile and Arkheron.
  • The additional funds will be used to enhance marketing, operations and localization strategies for HYBE IM’s titles.
  • The company, which has about 300 employees, aims to evolve into a “next-generation publisher” delivering content to gamers worldwide, said president Wooyong Chung.
  • HYBE IM has already launched one game, Rhythm Hive, in February 2021.
