Direct-to-consumer is redefining mobile game monetization

Summary
The video gaming industry, particularly in the mobile sector is now looking at new ways to generate revenue from their products after years of struggling in this area.
With recent regulatory changes, app stores can now sell products directly to users, opening up new revenue streams, boosting engagement and attracting players.
As a result of these changes, firms are looking at ways to monetise this sector, with one example Xsolla partnering with mobile measurement and data analytics company AppsFlyer to develop cross-platform measurement and web shop attributions.
The partnership includes two custom integration options- server-to-server and web integrations for mobile games, both offering data on user behaviour, campaign performance and revenue attribution across mobile and web platforms.
The partnership aims to help improve the gamer experience, increase customer satisfaction and create new revenue streams for game developers.
