Summary
Founders Fund-backed startup Cognition AI has released an updated version of its AI software engineer, Devin, which it claims introduces a range of features to make collaboration between developers and the autonomous agent smoother and more productive.
The new release is available from 20permonth(previously500 per month), and while the foundation model is unknown, it presumably leverages OpenAI’s GPT-4 and GPT-4o series, which were previously used.
Key additions include the ability to spin up multiple Devins to handle numerous tasks at once; interactive planning, which allows developers to collaborate with Devin to scope out detailed task plans; and Devin Search and Devin Wiki, which help developers to navigate and understand complex codebases.
The company claims that the new release completes over 83% more junior-level development tasks per unit compared with its predecessor.
