Summary
Rescale, a company running complex simulations and calculations in the cloud, has raised $115m in series D funding to accelerate the development of AIPOWERED engineering tools that can speed up product design and testing.
The round, which brings Rescale’s total capital raised to more than $260m, included investments from NEC Orchestrating Future Fund, Hitachi Ventures and Nvidia, among others.
Rescale’s platform helps engineers run large-scale simulations and offers artificial intelligence (AI) acceleration capabilities, including a compute recommendation engine that optimises workloads across cloud architectures in real time.
The San Francisco-based company aims to transform product design across a range of industries by combining high-performance computing, intelligent data management and “AI physics”.
