Motion capture tech and virtual reality (VR) company Sony has developed software and hardware solutions for creators to develop spatial content, including gaming, animation for film and metaverse applications.
Its Mocopi platform offers a range of motion capture tools and recorded data that can be easily integrated onto other platforms, such as Maya and Unity, while its XYN Motion Studio application software provides automatic motion interpolation and auto-tagging functions to enhance the creative use of motion data, working in real-time.
Sony has also developed the XYN headset, equipped with 4K OLED microdisplays and a video see-through function, and a spatial reality display to support intuitive creative work in content generation.
The Mocopi professional kit is now available to buy for $1,180, while the XYN headset and platform is available for pre-order, with shipping expected this month.
