Summary
Google Cloud has introduced a new security platform aimed at helping enterprises to anticipate threats and protect against cyber attacks.
Google Unified Security brings together Google’s suite of security services and threat intelligence data, and is powered by its Gemini AI operating system.
The platform will offer a “single, scalable, searchable data fabric” spanning an organisation’s entire network, providing a “holistic and streamlined defence against complex threats”, according to Michelle Abraham, senior research director for security and Trust at analyst firm IDC.
Two new semi-autonomous security agents for alert triage and malware analysis are set for customer previews in Q2 2022.
