Summary
Google has added an AI-powered end-to-end app platform, Firebase Studio, to its cloud offering, giving developers and non-developers the tools to build, launch and monitor mobile and web apps from their browsers.
The cloud-based platform is in preview to all users with a Google account and combines coding tools GenKit and Project IDX with AI assistants to offer debugging and testing within an intuitive interface that supports a myriad of programming languages.
Early access is also being given to Google Developer Program members, granting them the use of 30 workspaces and access to additional features including migration agents to help develop and refine apps.
The new platform was introduced at the Google Cloud Next event alongside other AI-based security and healthcare solutions.
