Shiro Games and dev FakeFish partner on wintery world of Frostrail

Game publisher Shiro Games and developer FakeFish have partnered for the upcoming release of survival crafting game Frostrail.
Due to release in 2026, Frostrail is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic open world, where players must survive against the elements and monsters.
Frostrail’s Steam page reveals that the game will include online co-op gameplay, as well as a range of languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Polish, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese.
Shiro Games previously published Northgard, Wartales and Dune: Spice Wars, while FakeFish’s previous game, Barotrauma, has sold more than three million copies.
“We are eager to use our experience to create a new project that marries the intense, high-stakes nature of the survival and first-person shooter genres with the exploratory and intricate qualities that we all love in crafting games,” said FakeFish CEO Aku Jauhianen.
