Games commerce platform Xsolla has partnered with digital fashion and virtual entertainment firm Altava to integrate luxury fashion IP into games.
As part of the collaboration, developers will be able to access a dedicated marketplace featuring 3D fashion experiences, avatar customisation and branded content from leading luxury brands.
French luxury giant LVMH-backed Altava’s portfolio includes more than 3,000 3D fashion assets which can be used across virtual platforms.
The companies will also collaborate on “digital-to-physical” activations allowing users to purchase physical merchandise through Xsolla.
Demand for digital fashion is set to hit $50bn by 2030, according to Morgan Stanley, as the metaverse and avatar-based commerce drive increased personalisation.
