Summary
The long-rumoured Oblivion remaster has officially been revealed by Bethesda and is now available to play on PC, PS5 and Xbox Serie X/S.
It includes all of the content from the original 2006 game, plus the Knights of Nine and Shivering Isles expansions.
Added gameplay features include a new leveling system, refined user interface and dialogue differentiation based on races and factions, and the ability to sprint.
Bethesda partnered with Virtuos for the remaster which has previously worked on titles including Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition and Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection.
Development on the Oblivion remaster began in 2021, with Bethesda saying it wanted to upgrade everything but preserve the original game’s “core”.
