MagicBlock raises $7.5M for real-time, app-specific extensions for Solana blockchain

Gaming blockchain MagicBlock has raised $7.5m in seed money to help power its goal of creating real-time, fully decentralised games and apps built natively on the Solana blockchain.
The round was led by investment firm Lightspeed Venture Partners and included Maven11, Delphi Digital, and Robot Ventures, among others.
Prior to the latest investment, MagicBlock had already garnered $3m of investment led by a16z CSX in September 2024; the funding will further accelerate MagicBlock’s momentum, according to the company,
It also aims to bridge the gap between traditional servers and blockchain technology.
MagicBlock’s technology allows developers to build and access app-specific extensions, such as custom pricing or permissioning, whilst benefiting from Solana’s liquidity and ecosystem.
MagicBlock will use the funds to expand its engineering team and scale its ecosystem.
