Summary
Run Games launched a multiplayer football game, Football Heroes League, during the Gamescom festival this week, and also released it in early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PCs.
The game is a follow-up to the company’s earlier mobile game, Football Heroes Online, and will also be available on mobile and console.
Football Heroes League allows players to participate in 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 online matches, and is free to play, with paid additional features.
The gameplay offers easy-to-use controls and features soccer tactics together with robotics and superheroes to make a more arcade-style experience.
The early access version offers five characters but more will be rolled out during the early access period.
The studio’s creative director, Michael Marzola, said the game aims to give players an appreciation of the depth of soccer within an action-packed video gaming experience.
