Playtron rolls out Game Dollar stablecoin for gaming to enable purchases, subscriptions and rewards

Web3 gaming operating system Playtron has revealed its plans to launch the Game Dollar, a gaming-focused stablecoin that will facilitate transactions, subscriptions and rewards across various gaming ecosystems.
Built on top of the M0 stablecoin platform, and powered by Bridge, Game Dollar will initially be exclusive to the Sui blockchain.
It will be usable on the SuiPlay0X1 console, allowing gamers to use the cryptocurrency on a range of PC games, as well as new titles developed using the Sui blockchain.
Kirt McMaster, CEO of Playtron, said Game Dollar will “unlock new economic models for developers and marketplaces while enabling consumer incentives only possible via programmable dollars”.
The GameOS operating system aims to unify various gaming platforms and create a consistent and seamless experience for players.
