Summary
Health monitoring ring maker Ōura has announced it will add AI-driven metabolic health tracking for meals and glucose to its product offering.
Members will be able to log food and access nutrition analysis through the AI-powered Meals functionality, which also provides guidance on nutritional choices.
The glucose functionality, in partnership with glucose biosensor provider Dexcom, will offer real-time insights into metabolic health including a new “Time Above Range” metric.
Both features will provide a more holistic metabolic health offering from Ōura, which currently provides sleep, stress and activity monitoring.
The AI-driven offering is underpinned by Ōura Advisor, which provides personalised advice to users based on their biometric readings.
Ōura plans to roll out the new features to US members first, with an international launch planned for later in the year.
