Zencoder launches Zen Agents, ushering in a new era of team-based AI for software development

Summary
Zencoder AI has launched Zen Agents, a tool to enable the creation and sharing of AI tools across organisations for software development.
It includes an open-source marketplace for developers to access and share custom agents, to help address the gap where current automated systems focus on individual requirements rather than collaborative software engineering teams.
Zen Agents uses the Model Context Protocol, enabling language models to interact with external tools.
The platform aims to automate parts of the development process, including code reviewing and testing, to enable developers to maintain a continuous flow state, accelerating the development lifecycle.
Zencoder’s CEO and founder, Andrew Filev, said the ultimate goal was to make engineers 10 times more productive, and although initially targeted at software engineering, he predicts the tool could broadens its reach.
