Musk, who owns X, has been vocal in criticising those who claim there is a “white genocide” in South Africa — a reference to the killing of white South African farmers — despite there being no evidence for this claim.
In 2021, he tweeted a debunking of the idea and said he would give “serious thought” to creating a new social media platform if Facebook blocked the content.
